What to expect
What life looks like in a Connected Futures property — your home, your tenancy and the support around you.
What to expect
Your home
You will have your own furnished room in a well-maintained, compliant property, with shared kitchen, bathroom and living space in most of our homes. We ask everyone to keep shared areas clean and usable, to respect other residents and neighbours, and to keep noise down at night. No violence, abuse or drug dealing is tolerated in any property. Visitors are agreed in advance with your Housing Support Officer, and we carry out regular property checks with notice.
Your tenancy
You will sign a tenancy or licence agreement at move in and we will go through it with you line by line, so you know exactly what you are agreeing to. Your responsibilities are to pay any rent or charges due, keep the property in good order, report repairs promptly, allow access for inspections and safety checks, and let us know if your circumstances change. Our responsibilities are to keep the property safe, compliant and well repaired, and to give you proper notice before we visit.
Your support
Every resident has a named Housing Support Officer / Tenancy Sustainment Officer who will meet you regularly, agree a plan with you and help you keep your accommodation. That can include help with benefits and rent, budgeting, engaging with health services, drug and alcohol services or probation, and building the practical skills and confidence needed to move on to more independent housing when you are ready. We work alongside your other agencies rather than duplicating them.
See Residents Information for repair reporting and on-call contacts.
